MARCH 2015 GO LIVE EXPERIENCE RECAP

Well you guys, we did it again! Our design team (photo below) helped teach, design, create, and launch 15 new brands and websites in person in 2 days via our GO LIVE EXPERIENCE. As we were cheering and celebrating the launches I couldn't help but think of the 126 graduates that we have had in the last couple of years! Their success is what gets us fired up.... and we LOVE hearing all the stories about how their experience with us has completely changed their business. Because, in reality it’s more than just a website. These creatives are paving a new path for the future of their business by taking their brand and website strategy to new heights. AND THAT IS SO EXCITING!

Prior to the workshop we assigned design and brand homework for our attendees. With only 2 days to work with they HAD to come prepared. Everyone choose their favorite website design from our shop as a starting point for their website. During the 2 days we helped implement their sites and design any unique graphics to create a site that represents each attendee specifically. We geek out over launching unique and beautiful sites that help our attendees stand out from the crowd. Through this entire process we taught the ins and outs of the website platforms so they would know exactly how to update, change, and tweak their website as their business grows and expands.

I (Promise) LOVE doing one-on-ones with all the attendees to hear about their businesses, answer any questions, give in-person feedback, and keep everyone on the right track with business strategy and design aesthetic.

To make all the sites fresh and complete, everyone got beautiful new headshots by Kristen Booth.

And I won't lie the 2 days were INTENSE!!! So to keep us moving we pumped up the music and enjoyed the sugar rush of these delicious desserts by Joshua Hager (<--- psst. Our team designed and developed his blogsite as well).

After a lot of hard work, one-on-ones, designer help, and critiques our attendees went live with their websites! It was an exciting moment for everyone! Click through the slideshows below to see the cool sites we made!

We designed + launched websites on Wordpress, Squarespace, and the Showit platform.

Hear it straight from them! A few of our attendees and crew blogged about the experience of launching their website with us.

  • Jenny gives helpful advice on launching your site.

  • Bethany shares that the positive feedback she received goes deeper than just a new website.

  • Jeanette shares how this was the best investment for her business.

  • Lianna not only learned how to create a website but she also learned more about herself and what she wants to get out of her business.

  • Nicole, a 2014 alumni, shares her experience returning to be our social media photographer and also invites anyone interested in attending future workshops to her champagne party at her studio in April, where we (the go live team) will be skyping in to talk shop and answer any questions about the workshop.

  • Liz shares how the community, the feedback, and the support of other creative, inspiring women surrounding her and cheering her on was everything she needed.
