Matt Warren knew it was time for a website revamp after for his production company, MWP, as the brand’s story and services have changed in the last three years since the start of the company. A new site was needed to reflect the growth and energy of the MWP culture, a design that would capture potential clients’ eyes and make clear what MWP has to offer.

GO LIVE: Where did your passion for the industry or craft start?

MATT: I've always considered myself to be a storyteller and someone who loves helping others tell their story. We're so fortunate today to have so many tools and platforms and audiences to work with. It is truly a great time to be a creator. 

GO LIVE: Did your education help prepare your for the industry or for starting your own business? 

MATT: I think a lot of what we know about business comes from our parents, mentors, upbringing, etc. Work ethic, integrity, transparency...these are all things that are really hard to teach. But skills and craftsmanship are things you can learn and practice over time. College helped me make life-long friends in this industry and allowed me to make some major mistakes early on so that I could focus on flawless execution and growth in my 30s and 40s. 

GO LIVE: What's the hardest lesson you've learned in your business? 

MATT: The hardest lesson I've learned is that nothing is guaranteed. Tomorrow isn't promised to any of us. And our lives can change in the blink of an eye. So be grateful everyday and embrace life. We're so fortunate to do what we do. 

GO LIVE: What do you wish someone would have told you when you started out?

MATT: I wish there was a such thing as LifeCamp where you go for like three days and you learn everything about life: investing in real estate, retirement planning, portfolio diversification, the ins and outs of owning rental properties, how to do budgets, tech support for mobile apps... THAT would have been epic! 

GO LIVE: What was the moment you had when you said "I should do this" or what made you take the jump into working for yourself?

MATT: I grew up in an industry that was very family-like. Employers were loyal and your co-worker was a friend for 30+ years. I really wanted that in my life and my career. I love the idea of owning a lifestyle business. I get to work with my friends, travel the world, and create a business model around my life and family. 

GO LIVE: What things have you gained/ do you hope to gain in your life from following this dream?

MATT: I know it's cheesy, but I really do feel like I'm living the dream. My goal is to own a marina on a lake some day and just enjoy Summer days out on the dock. 

GO LIVE: Why did you ultimately decide to work with us for your Custom Design? 

MATT: Go Live takes a holistic approach to the sites they create. It's not just a simple website redesign. It's an overhaul of the brand. And MWP needed that. It's been almost three years since I started this company and I knew it was time to tweak the brand, the site, the story, and the messaging to reflect our new services, our culture, and to really show clients how we could help them with their projects. Go Live is setting us up for the next three-to-five years and I'm excited to see where we go.
