Grit and Grace is a wedding planning company located in Southern California. Their team plans, coordinates, and designs weddings for modern couples.

One of our main goals for this project was to give the Grit & Grace brand a more elevated look that matched the quality of their weddings and brides they work with. We chose The Exurban Template for Squarespace as the base for her Restyle Design. To achieve their brand feel, we incorporated minimal design elements and elegant fonts. To make her site stand out we also added in unique half crescent images.

Q&A with Claire Roche

What is your expertise or claim to fame?

We plan and design dynamic weddings all up the West Coast for the modern couple. (And freaking love it, might I add!) We, also, provide high quality digital resources through TikTok, Instagram and our Grit and Grace Shop! OH, and also, sit in the Starbucks drive thru super often.

What’s the hardest lesson you’ve learned in your business?

Resilience and determination. Which really is the lesson that sometimes, even when you put your heart, soul and every ounce of energy into a project, it still won't do as well (or, might just fail) as you had hoped. Keep going, keep trying, keep get ting up! Also, equally as hard is that not everyone will like you or what you do. But, also, sometimes you will push and try and it just won't work. That heavy resistance is sometimes a sign to move in a different direction for a bit, or long term. It's okay to change your mind an evolve!

What does it mean to you to redesign your website?

It is the best facelift ever. The heart and soul of Grit ad Grace has always stayed the same (and always will!) but, this ReStyle and redesign has allowed us to show up as a more holistic and honest representation of who we are and where we're going!

Why did you ultimately decide to work with GoLive?

I started to realize that we needed to make some changes and it felt like the best next step. The fact that GoLive works with so many entrepreneurs like myself was really encouraging. (I also was already connected with Hunter so there was an obvious link!)
