Luxurious Custom Squarespace Design For Wedding Photography Studio

Aria Studios is a wedding video and film photography studio based in Hawaii. In their 10+ years of business, they've been featured in publications such as Bride Magazine, Martha Stewart Weddings, Style Me Pretty, and more.

This project was a Custom Website we created for Aria Studios. While we were designing this site, we really wanted to focus the design around Aria Studios stunning photography and services! We did this by including large dreamy photos, gallery carousels, and several “call to action” buttons to get viewers excited to book their shoot. We added some Hawaii flair with pops of pink and green, paired with chic statements of black and white, trendy fonts, and script typefaces. We used layered designs and circle text to make the site dynamic and fun.

Q&A with Kolby

What’s something you wish someone had told you when you just started out?

I wish someone told me about Systems (also known as system of procedures)!! It was a total “DUH!” moment, but as a first-time entrepreneur, doing all the things on my own, I didn’t realize the importance and value of documenting how I did things.

What’s the hardest lesson you’ve learned in your business?

People will leave, and that is a blessing! Fortunately, I’ve had the very best employees for large chunks of time - but like a lot of people, I’ve gotten attached to teammates and have been heartbroken when they decided to leave. When I look at my current team, I’m so grateful to have had them for years - my photo director has been with me for 10 years! But, the fact of the matter is, people will leave, not because of you but that’s just a part of life and growth. You need to not only be okay with that but, be grateful for that. Grateful for the time you had with them and grateful that someone else will come to help you and your company grow the way it needs to. It is a blessing to grow and evolve.

What does it mean to you to redesign your website?

Covid has been TOUUUUGH on ARIA Studios. The event industry took a major hit and then several more devastating hits in a short amount of time. We are still not out of it yet, but it has been a challenging journey for us as we rely on weddings to take care of our team. By the grace of God, we survived and we didn’t have to let anyone go. HOORAY!!! We couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate and usher in a new year than with a new site!

Why did you ultimately decide to work with GoLive?

We have partnered with GoLive for YEARS and think of them as an extended part of our team!!!! After two beautiful redesigns, we completely trust this amazing team and rely on them to do translate our vibe to our online presence.
