Thrive Body Project Is Live On Squarespace

Our client Meagan turned her lifelong passion for health and fitness into her dream career coaching women to a healthy lifestyle. When she hired us for a Restyle, we knew we wanted to design a fun, fresh, and high enegery site that would inspire everyone who sees it. We LOVE that Meagan keeps it real on her site, and she wanted the design to feel real and relatable to viewers!

Designing the logo was one of our favorite aspects of the project, which was such a fun element to start the design week with!

"I wish someone had told me to focus on what makes me and my style unique. Little did I know, being myself would attract more people than being vanilla and trying to please everyone."

Check out our Q&A with Meagan about her Restyle

Meagan turned her passion for fitness and health into her dream career coaching women to a healthy lifestyle.

GO LIVE: WHERE DID YOUR PASSION FOR THE INDUSTRY OR CRAFT START?

Meagan: My passion for health and fitness started when I was young. I remember forcing my friends to play "workout" and "dance class" with me in 3rd grade ... [I'm] not sure how they stayed friends with me! Throughout my life I've been active in dance and fitness but lost my way a bit. I let the stress of life and the fun of going out all the time take over. I was unhappy in my body, a bit over weight, self conscious and frustrated. I changed my body, mindset AND career. I'm so happy I found my way back to what really fuels me.

GO LIVE: DID YOUR EDUCATION HELP PREPARE YOU FOR THE INDUSTRY OR ARE YOU SELF-TAUGHT?

Meagan: I'd say life experience taught me what I need to know and the rest I learned from some amazing business coaches.

GO LIVE: WHAT'S THE HARDEST LESSON YOU'VE LEARNED IN YOUR BUSINESS?

Meagan: The hardest thing I've learned is that I can't say yes to everything and that burnout is real! I was working full time in media sales and transitioning to full time teaching. My schedule was insane, teaching early in the morning - working a full day (sometimes teaching at lunch), then teaching at night and on Saturday and Sunday. I'd say yes to every opportunity that came my way. This helped me build my business, but also led to exhaustion when I had a fully packed schedule of classes and clients and I still said yes to everything. I've learned taking a step back makes me a better instructor, mom and wife, plus it makes room for new projects.

GO LIVE: WHAT DO YOU WISH SOMEONE WOULD HAVE TOLD YOU WHEN YOU STARTED OUT?

Meagan: I wish someone had told me to focus on what makes me and my style unique. Starting out in a well-known, luxury gym I was a bit nervous and wanted to make everyone happy. Little did I know, being myself would attract more people than being vanilla and trying to please everyone (which is impossible anyway). Luckily I figured it out quickly!

GO LIVE: WHAT WAS THE MOMENT YOU HAD WHEN YOU SAID "I SHOULD DO THIS" OR WHAT MADE YOU TAKE THE JUMP INTO WORKING FOR YOURSELF?

Meagan: I was in another Account Executive role working for a major media corporation, making great money and I still wasn't happy.  All I could think about was how I wanted to teach fitness, be a health coach and help people change their lives. I have notebooks full of different math equations of "If I made X amount from classes and X from clients ..." then maybe I'd have enough to quit. Finally, I just made the leap and haven't looked back since!

GO LIVE: WHAT THINGS HAVE YOU GAINED/ DO YOU HOPE TO GAIN IN YOUR LIFE FROM FOLLOWING THIS DREAM?

Meagan: I am 100% sure I am doing what I'm meant to do. Being in a class with high vibe people working towards their goal makes my heart burst with happiness! When I hear feedback about what my class or coaching has done for someone I feel an enormous sense of pride and know I'm in the right place. Also, because of my schedule I'm able to spend tons of time with my daughter and take her most places with me. She's my sidekick, and she mastered a plank/down dog/mountain climber combo before the age of two. VERY proud mom over here.

GO LIVE: WHY DID YOU ULTIMATELY DECIDE TO WORK WITH US FOR YOUR RESTYLE?

Meagan: I am stepping my game up and wanted a site I am proud of to point current and future clients to. My new offering is going to be a small group program, and I know if I don't invest in my business I cannot expect anyone else to invest in it either! I'm so excited!

GO LIVE: ANYTHING ELSE WE SHOULD KNOW OR  WANT TO GET OFF YOUR CHEST?

Meagan: This process has been so amazing. I can't say enough good things about Go Live HQ. They did an awesome job giving me the extra push I needed, facilitating the project and keeping me on track. I am SO happy I took the leap and decided to invest in my site and grateful to the Go Live team!
