Yours Truly Media is a wedding videography and photography company passionate about telling love stories. They came to us for a new website to serve their growing business, with a vision for a minimal, professional aesthetic.

Our vault template Always was the perfect template to Restyle for this project! We kept the design simple, but added layered graphics and large banner images for creative flair. Overall, we created a high-end site design that mimics the upscale services that Yours Truly Media provides.

GO LIVE: WHERE DID YOUR PASSION FOR THE INDUSTRY OR CRAFT START?

Paul: It started when we had a marketing company and couldn't find a reasonable, professional, and affordable videographer for one of our clients...so we did it ourselves. Shortly after that took off, a family friend approached us to ask if we could do a video for their daughter's wedding. I remember being hesitant and scared to do it as I've never shot a wedding before. I love telling this story to our team for good laughs on "what not to do". After I finished editing it, my wife and I were hooked on weddings and the amount of positive feedback we received. Knowing they get this keep sake for the rest of their lives makes it all worth it.

GO LIVE: DID YOUR EDUCATION HELP PREPARE YOU FOR THE INDUSTRY OR ARE YOU SELF-TAUGHT?

Paul: As for as running a business, absolutely. As far as industry and trade experience, no. We started learning how to make videos from scratch and just developed with time. Not necessarily "self-taught" as much as "YouTube-taught."

GO LIVE: WHAT'S THE HARDEST LESSON YOU'VE LEARNED IN YOUR BUSINESS?

Paul: Take your time hiring the RIGHT people. We grew so quickly that we had positions to keep filling, which ultimately led to we and/or they not being a good fit. It's tough because you're back to square one if it doesnt pan out. These days we have a multi-layer interview process along with at least three viable candidates being consdiered before we make a decision.

GO LIVE: WHAT DO YOU WISH SOMEONE WOULD HAVE TOLD YOU WHEN YOU FIRST STARTED OUT?

Paul: Today, nothing! I'd probably scare him off if I did. Seriously...best advantage you have starting out is NOT knowi ng everything and focusing on developing the best product possible and selling...everything works itself out later

GO LIVE: WHAT WAS THE MOMENT YOU HAD WHEN YOU SAID "I SHOULD DO THIS" OR WHAT MADE YOU TAKE THE JUMP INTO WORKING FOR YOURSELF?

Paul: The story of starting my own business goes like this-

All sons pitch their Dads ideas all the time (as if they're investor on Shark Tank). One day I decided to pitch to my Dad that I would start a business, to which he replied, "son, you've been saying that for years." Frustrated...I went and started an LLC the next day and just started offering business consulting and marketing services.

Things were going okay as I made my previous employer my first "Client" and then one day...Terminated our services a nd at the time that was 50% of our income for living and so we were forced to think and luckily...Yours Truly Media exploded from that point on and that was the moment it was like..."there's no turning back!"

GO LIVE: WHAT THINGS HAVE YOU GAINED / DO YOU HOPE TO GAIN FROM FOLLOWING THIS DREAM?

Paul: I'm pretty happy personally speaking. I "work" very little hours and have everything I could want for now including a beautiful wife and daughter. I would personally like to continue with my long term goal of providing 1,000 opportunities (jobs) for people. I call them "opportunities" because I want them to be limitless. Job descriptions put limits on people and what they can do. An opportunity, for the right person, allows them to experience the joys in life and obtain things they thought were not possible.

GO LIVE: WHY DID YOU ULTIMATELY DECIDE TO HIRE US FOR YOUR RESTYLE?

Paul: I liked one of the industries leaders websites you had done and felt it was clean. Your process and communication is what sold me.
