The Ever Co Is Live On Squarespace

Amy Hawthorne is LIVE on Squarespace after her recent Restyle for The Ever Co, a new holiday-inspired blog and online shop. Amy and her husband Blake, who both love all things holiday & family tradition, knew they wanted their next job to be something they were passionate about — something that didn’t feel like work but rather love.

Amy chose our vault template, Everyday, and we got to work Restyling her site, creating her logo, business cards, and overall brand design to fit the joyful mood of the holiday inspired blog. The Ever Co’s new site, complete with its mix of boho and traditional design, will be home to a blog full of creative ideas for celebration plus an apparel shop!

"We don’t want to feel like we hate to go to work every day. When you are doing something you’re passionate about, it doesn’t ever feel like work."
– Amy Hawthorne

CHECK OUT OUR Q&A WITH AMY ABOUT HER RESTYLE

Amy chats about taking her and her husband’s love for the holidays and turning it into their dream job- a business of celebration, tradition, and future Christmas Tree Farm!

GO LIVE: WHERE DID YOUR PASSION FOR THE INDUSTRY START?

AMY: Blake and I absolutely love the outdoors, and it’s one of the things that led my husband and I together. When we were stationed in Washington, we really fell in love with evergreen trees. Personally, he and I had a really rough start to our marriage. When we were thinking about what we wanted to name our business, we really liked the idea that evergreen trees never die, they stand, they stay green. We love the correlation of that and our marriage, that regardless of all the struggles, we stood.

We just absolutely love celebrating holidays and family traditions. Everything we do with our kids surrounds that. As we depart from active duty army, we wanted to do something that we know we’ll always love. We don’t want to feel like we hate to go to work every day. When you are doing something you’re passionate about, it doesn’t ever feel like work.

GO LIVE: WHAT HAS BEEN THE HARDEST LESSON YOU'VE LEARNED IN STARTING YOUR BUSINESS?

AMY: Narrowing our scope. There’s so much to holidays and traditions. Our ultimate goal is to have a Christmas tree farm, pumpkin patch, or some kind of physical venue that people can come to and create family traditions with our business. Because that end goal is so far away, how do we narrow our scope now that will make moves to impact our future dream? Right now, we are just building our brand, and through that we are selling products and posting to social media to get people excited about following us on the journey of following that dream.

GO LIVE: WHAT DO YOU WISH SOMEONE WOULD HAVE TOLD YOU BEFORE YOU STARTED?

AMY: I read something that Promise wrote about something like “If you aren’t embarrassed about the first product you launch, then you started way too late.” She’s saying jump in, go for it, just do it! I love that so much because even just a few weeks ago, when we launched our first shirt through Instagram, I was so excited that I didn’t spend as much time tweaking the design. I’m not embarrassed about it necessarily, but I was so passionate that I just jumped in, and now I am so proud that I even did it and started and learned from it.

GO LIVE: WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO GAIN FROM FOLLOWING THIS DREAM?

The time and the freedom to do something we are 100% in love with. If you chase your dream for something that you love, then it’s never going to feel like work. Blake and I are so eager to do that, and ultimately create something that we can pass down to our children that they can continue our legacy on generations and generations after we leave this Earth.

Congrats to The Ever Co on their GORGEOUS Restyle! We loved this launch as much as you all love holidays! Make sure to give them a follow as they go live and live their dream!
